The British American Tobacco (BAT) sponsors the exhibition. The exhibition is an important avenue for promotion of products, transfer of technology and enhances the integration process. Following Rwanda’s accession to the EAC in 2007, the country had the opportunity to host the first EA Jua Kali/Nguvu Kazi exhibition in November in 2008 at Gikondo expo ground in Kigali.   Annually, the chamber of Crafts. Art & Artisans organises its members to participate in Jua Kali in EAC member states.
